Opening at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on 8 June, it provides an electrifying experience for all ages as the cast of 40 whizzes around on roller skates. When a child’s train set comes to life, the engines race to become the fastest in the world. Rusty the steam train can’t see himself winning, until he hears the legendary tale of Starlight Express. Shrek the Musical

If you’re specifically looking for things to do with kids, Shrek the Musical is bound to check all the boxes. See this modern fairy tale come to life on the stage and enjoy laugh-out-loud comedy, songs from the movie soundtrack and uplifting dance performances. The whole family will love following Shrek and Donkey as they journey to a remote castle guarded by a dragon to rescue Princess Fiona. Of course, delivering her to Lord Farquaad isn’t as simple as it first seems. The show runs from 19 July to 30 August at the Eventim Apollo.

Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)

In this funny yet unsentimental romcom, an optimistic Brit named Dougal heads off to the New York wedding of his father - who he’s never met. Awaiting his arrival at the airport is Robin, the bride’s sister. One’s an open book and the other is withdrawn; together they have to get a wedding cake across the city to the venue. What could possibly go wrong? Catch this charming production from 4 April to 21 July at the Criterion Theatre.

Only Fools and Horses the Musical

Get ready for a dose of nostalgia, plenty of humour and an original score in this acclaimed musical based on hit TV series Only Fools and Horses. The show takes you back to 1989, when the yuppie invasion of London is in full swing. Del Boy and Rodney are finding love (and even Trigger’s got a date), while Grandad’s reflecting on his life. Playing at the Eventim Apollo from 17 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, it’s a must-see for fans of the series.
